Last year the attendance for Brome Fair hit a record of 48,000. This was up from 41,000 in 2015 and 36,000 in 2014.

We met with Guylaine Tétreault, the Coordinator, to find out why the Fair was doing so well.

“We offer a mix of the traditional and the new.” She told us. “The traditional still has a tremendous attraction.”

“We are expanding the farm equipment section this year which will be good news for boys of all ages. All the familiar fair food will be there including the “Blooming Onion”. This year we will offer, for the first time, Mexican Food. We are pleased to announce that the Virgin Hill Coffee Airstream will be there. They will be raising money for a number of local charities.”

“On the entertainment front, we are thrilled to book award winning Cold Creek Country Band for Sunday Night. The Bounty Hunters will will be playing for the Barn Dance on Friday night. The small stage is fully booked with local talent.”

“One of our biggest hits recently was the appearance of Hulk at the fair grounds. It’s a secret right now, but we have an even more exciting visitor this year. Returning by popular demand will be the ASTTQ Truck Pull and Pari-mutual horse racing. World renowned sand sculptor, Stephane Robert, who comes from Austin, will be a special guest.”
