Canada Day – a Knowlton tradition

According to Shelley Judge, one of the event organizers, people can expect all their favourites: dog show, dancing, music, antique cars, face painting, petting zoo, bouncy castles, bikes, art and, of course, fireworks. Tradition is so important. This year there are some new events as well.

Canada Day is designed to give families a break. For the $5 parking fee for one vehicle, a family, or as many people than can fit in the vehicle, can enjoy all the shows and all the activities and spend no more money. All the rides, shows and much of the food is free. The town and many local merchants donate to the event. There have also been several fund-raising events in the community. Just in case, the “Rain Day” is Sunday, July 2nd.
