Brome Lake rowers win medals

At the Canada Games in August, Marilou Duvernay-Tardif and Anna Burnotte won gold in the double sculls. Marilou also won silver in the single sculls and Quentin Basin won bronze in the double sculls. Marilou later won silver in the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta under 23 single sculls on Sunday August 13th.

“This is a great beginning for rowing on Brome Lake,” said Gavin McKay, coach for the elite rowers who moved from the Olympic Basin to Brome Lake in 2017. “It’s also a great foundation for the Aviron Knowlton Rowing Club (AKR) that has been formed to support all types of rowers here.”
