The Brome Missisquoi Youth Foundation raised $5,000 at their annual bridge fundraiser in Knowlton on October 19.
This money will go directly to helping at-risk youth, aged twelve to seventeen through the three Houses of Hope. Apart from the organizers, local merchants are very generous in their support for this event.
The winners of the duplicate bridge were: (N/S) Mary Allen and Louise Désautels and (E/W) Suzanne Gregory and Aline Carel.

Last year more than $7,000 was raised for the Youth Foundation by the creation and distribution of Christmas wreaths. Organizer, Jane Morey Abbott, indicated that she has orders for 230 wreaths and it is now too late to order one if you are not already on the list. The wreaths were decorated on November 14, by a group of wonderful and talented elves and delivered to many homes in the area.
