Cycling lane on Victoria

par Hélène Nicole Richard/Translation: Tam Davis

Work on the multi-use lane on Victoria Street should be completed by mid-September, when traffic bollards will be installed to clearly mark the limits of the bike path. No parking will be allowed on the side of the road occupied by the cycling lane. No decision has yet been taken to permit parking on the other side.

This multi-use lane will be open for all sorts of activities (except motor vehicles).

So walkers and joggers, scooter users, roller skaters and cyclists will all have to share the lane, in both directions.

A study is underway to consider lengthening the lane between Maple and Lakeside, but nothing has yet been decided.
