West Bolton Council Meeting: June 2020

The mayor and full council were present at the meeting that was held on Zoom on June 1. Check the town website for a video copy. Mayor Drolet opened the meeting by reminding all West Bolton residents to observe the health rules – frequent hand washing and maintenance of a 2m space between people when out in public. Some residents continue to mix garbage, recycling and composting materials in their bins. This is costing the municipality and the taxpayers a lot of money. Please learn the rules for sorting materials into the three bins and carefully follow the rules. Support local business – j’achetebrome-missisquoi.com

An interim payment of $124,000 was approved. Placing of stones in the creek at the intersection of Brill and Argyll to control erosion was completed at a cost of $2000 + tax.

Environment – Councillor Vaillancourt reported on the IDEC water testing results for the past year. The report will be filed on the municipal website.
