There are many good restaurants in town and Knowltonites are quite addicted to them. The Star Café, lodged in a lovely restored old stone mill offers burgers and meats smoked on the premises. This popular spot has a two-storey dining room and, during the summer, offers a large terrace directly on Coldbrook stream.

Set in an old victorian house, the Café Floral is another Knowlton classic. Tasty homemade dishes and decadent desserts are offered. On a nice day, you can eat outside.

At Buzz, you can either have a sit-down meal in a comfy setting or order interesting food to take out. At the corner of Knowlton and Lakeside Roads, smack in the centre of town, there is the large dining room at Le Relais which is open for lunch and dinner with its daily specials. There is also a large terrasce at the back. Not far from there, on the other side of Knowlton Road, behind the theatre hides the Bistro Knowlton Pub.
