BMP Foundation receives $10,000 donation

Press Release

The Brome Missisquoi Perkins Hospital Foundation received a $10,000 donation from the Cowansville and Knowlton Lions Clubs. The money will be invested in the purchase of a special imaging device for the retina and optic nerve.

It will be used to monitor glaucoma and macular denegeration patients, who repre- sent almost 70% of all ophtalmology patients.

This new equipment should cut down on the number of patients who had to be referred to a Sherbrooke hospital for a test that only takes a few minutes.

Since its creation in 1993, the BMP Foundation has raised and invested more than $30 million in major reorganization projects to provide better services and access to health care.
