As part of this year’s cultural days, ceramic artist Rachel Grenon will produce ceramic boats with the public. The works will be fired and glazed at the artist’s studio. They will then be placed on the shores of Brome Lake to produce a photo of the final set. The boats will then be given to each participant who will take a photo of it on a body of water. Participants will be invited to share their photo on social media in order to make the boats travel. Rachel would like to build over 150 boats during the 3 days of the free public event. This project is the extension of the artist’s “water effect” residency carried out in 2019.
