The roof at Pettes Memorial Library has needed work for some time now, according to Jana Valasek, Executive Director. “We finally found the right person for the job.” Philippe Dubé (Toits Métalliques des Cantons) is a specialist in ancestral roofing. The new roof will be metal and slate, just like the original. “This is not part of our up-coming expansion project,” said Valasek, explaining that the cost will be covered under the Library’s general building maintenance budget. Work should be complete by Christmas. And with that in mind, all of us at Pettes Library would like to wish all of you a very happy, healthy holiday season.
