You can now call the Town of Brome Lake any day and any time. The town has engaged a call center that will handle calls when the town hall is closed. Residents can call 450-243-6111 on weekdays, after 4 p.m., weekends and holidays. The live person on the other end of the line will, according to the town, “…inform callers, answer their inquiries, record their complaints and requests, accompany them on their search and, if necessary, create a ticket that will be transferred to the right municipal department for follow-up in the days to come.” The mayor says the service fills a need.
“The municipal government is increasingly solicited when it comes to finding answers to citizens’ questions, which is why customer service must be at the heart of our concerns,” said Town of Brome Lake Mayor Richard Burcombe. “Our receptionists do an excellent job with citizen requests during business hours, but there was a desire for us to offer more to our citizens when the town hall is closed.”
Later this year, the number will be even easier to remember: citizens will only have to dial 311 for assistance on municipal issues after hours.
