Virtual walk to fight all cancers

This 21st edition of the walk will be held from October 2nd to November 2nd and Dr. Christine Cadrin, gynecologist at the BMP Hospital, has once again accepted to be honorary president of the event. You can choose to walk 5 or 10 km wherever you want and with whomever you want while supporting the cause to raise money to fund specialized medical equipment for the treatment of cancer patients. Register at http://www.yvoc.ca and raise funds or donate a minimum of $25 per participant. Paper pledge forms are available at Le Panier Champêtre and Royal Lepage in Knowlton; Nettoyeur Houle and La Pharmacie Jean Coutu in Cowansville; and La Clinique médicale Bromont. Cheques are to be made payable to the BMP Foundation. The walk co-chairs are Johanne Coiteux and Louise Gélinas (450-521-9478) and thanks go to them and Judy Henderson, President of the Yamaska Valley Optimist Club. If you are ready, willing and available at 9 a.m. on October 2nd, you can join with members of the Yamaska Valley Optimist Club at Centre Lac Brome, 270 Victoria, Knowlton, to walk the distance of your choice. Bring a picnic and eat together after you have completed your walk.
