Midnight Madness

Susan Jacques

Mark December 10 from 5 p.m. to midnight on your agenda. For the past seventeen years, Lucy Hoblyn has been the main organizer of this event, but she has now passed the torch to three Town of Brome Lake merchants: Tamara Hamelin (La Touche Finale), Ghislaine Lebel (Antiquité Lebel Objet) and Patti Mason (Le Panier Champêtre). They are discovering that it is notable that Lucy managed alone to make it such a success year after year. Thanks should also go to the town employees involved in the organization.

There will be 27 stores participating and 26 exhibitors will be found in two locations: The Well, 202 Lakeside, and the place next to Le Panier Champêtre, 4 Mont Echo. There will be a giant screen showing short Christmas animations by Quebec-based cinematographers, Christmas music, people in costumes, exterior firepits, beer and alcohol tastings, a food truck of Beaver Tails, and free hot chocolate. A Christmas choir will be performing at Theatre LacBrome.
