All members of council except Marie-Blanche Richer, and four residents were present.
The 2022 financial report was presented by the auditor. The full report will be posted on the municipal website.
Question Period – The cost of consultants engaged to assist during the interviews and hiring of new municipal administrative staff was about $10,000. Specialist advice on human resource and legal aspect of the hiring process was required due to the administrative duties, financial, and legal responsibilities of senior municipal staff.
Town Planning – Permits with a value of $1.6 million were issued in April. Detailed plans for a house on Mt. Foster were reviewed and approved. The vacancy on the CCU (Comité consultatif d’urbanisme) has been filled. The appointment is for a term of six months with the possibility of extension.
Administration – Signing authority for cheques and contracts was allocated and approved. The contract of the road maintenance and construction supervisor was extended to August 15, 2023.
Roads – Beton Optimal has been hired to verify quality and amounts of gravel to the spread on Argyll, Fuller, Stagecoach and Brill roads. Culvert replacement on the corner of Gauvin and de la Tour has been completed after a washout on April 6.
Health and Well-being – A contribution of $250 was approved to support services to prevent osteoporosis provided by Sport Physio Plus Inc. Information is available through Action Communautaire Lac-Brome.
