Annie (Ank) Berends Masclé born July 17, 1930 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, of Knowlton, Quebec, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023, at the age of 92. Her husband Bram Masclé preceded her in death on October 18, 2015. Survived by her two children, Erik (Marjes) of Bromont and Eveline of Bondville. Her grandchildren Mark (Lisa), Monique (Philippe), Lisa (Thomas) and Melanie (Greg). Her great grandchildren Oliver, Charlotte and Joséphine. As a teenager she lived through the Second World War. She went to University of Amsterdam (2 years) and worked as Chemical Analyst until she married. After their wedding in 1952 they moved to Switzerland (Zürich) and later to Iran (Teheran). In 1958 the family moved to France (Paris) and in 1961 returned to the Netherlands (Amstelveen). In 1979 she and her husband moved to Beaconsfield.
They purchased a property in Knowlton, where they moved when her husband retired. They enjoyed their life and were very happy in Knowlton. She lived at home until the end of 2020, when she moved to the Manoir Lac Brome. We like to thank the wonderful staff at the Manoir for the loving care given. Ank was a member of several guilds where she knitted, quilted and weaved. She had a great interest in astronomy, especially craters caused by asteroids or meteorites, and they visited several in North America. Her children will organize a celebration of her life with family, friends, and guild members at a later date
