Cancer Walk for All Ages

The Yamaska Valley Optimist Club will hold its annual Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 5.

The walk will start at Centre Lac-Brome, 270 Victoria in Knowlton.

Both walks start at 9:15 a.m.

  • A 5-km walk
  • A 1.5-km walk around Lions Park for seniors and individuals with reduced mobility
    A minimum donation of $25 is requested.

NEW THIS YEAR:
“The Kids Wonder Walk” — a 1.5-km walk for kids 10 and under starts at 10:30 a.m.
Parents can accompany their children.
A donation box will be available on site.

Chair Yoga will also be available for those in treatment or recovering.

Honorary Presidents this year:

  • Shelley Mizener and her dog Cash
  • Dr. Christine Cadrin, gynaecologist

All proceeds go to the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation for the purchase of a new mammography machine.
