There are changes to the Short Film Contest for the third Knowlton Film Festival, August 20 to 23.
The contest is now open to all. Total prize money is $3500. Top prize is $2000, second prize is $1000, and third takes home $500. They are known as the Claire Léger Awards. New this year, the winning film will also be shown at the Princess Theatre in Cowansville, as well as opening the Knowlton Festival on August 20.
Registration for the contest should be sent to Nicole Larivée at: email@example.com by midnight April 30. All successful shorts will be screened at the festival’s location in Theatre Lac Brome, on the morning of August 22.
All entries can be no longer than 10 minutes and filmed in Town of Brome Lake. If shot in a language other than French or English, they are to be subtitled in one of those languages.
All entries must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org in Vimeo, YouTube or other user-friendly formats and received by midnight, June 15. Selected participants need to furnish a screening copy of their film.
The Brome Lake Film Commission (filmlacbrome.ca) has agreed to make shooting here as painless as possible.
