Nothing to do in Brome Lake? Can’t be further from the truth said Councillor Louise Morin as she presented the town’s new tourism season.
More than ever, cultural activities are at the heart of the town’s tourism attractions. Be it the new “Nos weekends Knowlton” festival, the Festive Fridays, Movie Night under the Stars or the brand new Knowlton Film Festival.
Throughout the summer, literature enthusiasts will enjoy the “Three Pines Tour” for the venues made famous by Knowlton resident Louise Penny in her internationally well-known thrillers. “The Great British Tea Parthé” (email@example.com) will bring you back to the Victorian era. And there are also the various activities of Theatre Lac-Brome, the Museum and this year again, the Antique Shop Circuit is on the menu offering a selection from the beauty of the past.
Gastronomy is also part of the fun and the party at the Festival gastronomique Canard du Lac-Brome.
To paraphrase Mayor Richard Burcombe: “Lac-Brome is now positioned as an attractive tourist centre offering something unique, as shown by the rich programming unveiled today. This one has everything to please, no matter the age of our visitors.
