In September, the Town of Brome Lake will officially open the new dog park. It is located off Mont Echo Road, next to the Community Gardens. There was a soft opening on August 15.

The town has taken advice from many experts, and their insight is evident in the final result. The total area is much larger than in the original plans.

There are two enclosures, one for large dogs and the other for small. They have benches and a gazebo for the humans, water stations for both species and many poo-bag dispensers. The grass is particularly lush and thick. Tulo, Tempo’s test dog, gives it five woofs!

The park will be open between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. throughout the year. A set of rules for behaviour for both dogs and owners will be posted on the gate. A citizens’ committee will arbitrate issues and continue to offer advice to the town.
