Marilou Duvernay Tardif of Knowlton is the national champion in women’s single sculls, winning at the National Rowing Championships in Victoria, British Columbia, in early November. Marilou is a member of the local rowing club who train on Brome Lake. She won the Siliken Laumann plate, named after the Canadian Olympic athlete.
