The town is sponsoring a second pickup of old electronic goods and bulk paper shredding following the successful spring collection of everything from old TVs and computers to ancient tax records.
“It was so popular we decided to have another pickup before the winter,” says Mayor Richard Burcombe.
Just about any old piece of electronics and computer gear can be brought to the parking lot of the Centre Lac-Brome from 9 a.m. to 1 p. m. on Saturday, October 7. If you are unsure of what is on the list you can look it up on the town website, but just about anything within reason qualifies.
As popular as electronic junk is, residents brought a lot of paper, some of it confidential, to be shredded. That too is on again.
