Drama at the Museum

This year’s play, ‘Drama at the Museum’ presented by the Knowlton Players is directed by Darlene Bell and written by Roger de la Mare. It will be staged at Knowlton United Church from February 16 to 25. Darlene Bell caught the acting bug while attending Emma Steven’s Echo Art in 1994. One way or another, Bell has been involved with theatre ever since. 

“Acting is a creative way to leave the outside world behind and to enter another space,” she laughs. 

This play, involves 13 characters plus a choir directed by Laura Barr with John Barr at the piano for a total cast of 23. Many of the songs are from Steven Sondheim. Following the tradition of Roger de la Mare this play is a fun break from winter and this time provides amusing insights into how a play works.
