New Town Hall in West Bolton
In a letter published in Tempo in February, West Bolton Municipal Councillor Margarita Lafontaine expresses anger that citizens had gone to the Access to Information Commission to obtain purchase offers made by West Bolton on two big plots of land with the intention of building a new town hall. She writes: “Why persist with a purchase offer THAT HAS NEVER BEEN SUBMITTED? A piece of paper with no value?” In fact, in its ruling, the Commission recognized that official purchase offers had indeed been made by the town on two occasions.
