For its 19th year, the Town of Brome Lake farmers’ market will be back on June 8 on Maple Street. Site development work must be carried out in order to accommodate exhibitors and visitors.
Parking spaces for visitors will be more than doubled, from 12 to 30 spaces, and around 20 producers are expected again this year.
“The Maple Street site has several advantages,” says Cynthia Brunelle, the director of TBL’s tourism/leisure department, “the rural atmosphere among other things that visitors appreciate, and, for producers, better access to water and electricity on the site as well as the possibility of installing permanent structures there rather than just mobile tents. The location will also make it possible to install a café area and hold activities. Moreover, as of this year the municipality will manage the market.
Every Saturday morning during summer the public market attracts between 400 and 600 visitors. A new baker will be setting up shop at the market this year in addition to familiar exhibitors. The complete list of 22 producer-exhibitors is available at:
