The Town of Brome Lake wishes to correct erroneous data that appeared in a Letter published in the May issue of Tempo. The Town says that the data presented was greatly exaggerated and in no way represents reality.
Town of Brome Lake is pleased that Tempo took the time to verify the data before publishing the aforementioned letter, but regrets that no clarification was made in the same publication following the discovery of a discrepancy between the actual and reported data. Here’s the situation:
• Between 2019 and 2024, the Town issued building permits for a total of 94 multi-family housing units throughout its territory. This figure includes projects not yet built.
• For the portion of Knowlton Road, we’re talking about 46 units built or under construction since 2019.
• At the time of writing, no permits have been issued for projects on Julien Street.
• No projects are underway on Highland Street.
