All members of council and the mayor were present; two residents were in the audience.
Questions during the meeting covered the following point:
Plans for the renovation of Town Hall:
• The mayor and councillor Lanteigne will ask the owner of the field adjacent to the town hall to confirm their willingness to sell approx 0.5 ha to the municipality and then ask the CPTAQ for approval to buy the land.
• They will then ask council for approval of the purchase and cost.
• Finalize the planning of the renovation of the town hall and apply for financial assistance from the Provincial Government.
• Proceed with renovation to bring the building up to code, expand office space and the addition of a well and septic system.
Town Planning – An application for a short term rental permit for a property at 60 Ch. Stukely was approved.
Jules Varin has resigned effective July 8th.
Mme Brosseau is the new interim Building Inspector.
Administration – The town website will be re-designed; the agreement with ACA for access to Mt. Foster was renewed for a period of five years; the exterior of the town hall will be cleaned. The office telephone system will be modernized.
Roads and Infrastructure – Contracts with M. St. Jacques and J. Rhicard were extended.
A major culvert on Glen Rd. will be replaced at a cost of $352,375. Part will be paid by a subsidy from Quebec.
Three dangerous trees will be removed along Bailey Rd. adjacent to the DuBoyce Cemetery.
