
TBL Council – March Meeting

The March meeting of the Town of Brome Lake Council was attended by nine people. Two councillors — Lucy Gagnon and Shelley Judge — were absent.
The session began with a presentation by Treasurer Caroline Cusson, who outlined proposed rules and ratios to help keep the Town’s debt in a healthy position. A live audio recording of the question period is available on the Town’s website:

Cusson is expected to return later in the year with a full recommendation.
New First Responders Operations Manager
Council announced the hiring of a new Operations Manager for TBL’s First Responders. Stéphanie Corbière will take on the role effective March 10, 2025. She brings nine years of experience to the position.
The role was previously held by Alan Bowbrick, who will remain active as a First Responder.
Summer Camp Inclusion Funding Increased
Council also announced an increase in funding to support children with disabilities at the Town’s Summer Day Camps.
Financial Contributions Approved
Council approved financial contributions to the following community organizations:
- Yamaska Valley Optimist Club – $500
- La Marche au Diapason – $2,000
