Maple taffy

  • fresh packed snow
  • 1 cup local maple syrup-
  • popsicle sticks


Prepare an area of clean, well packed snow.
Cook maple syrup at medium heat until bubbles appear and a thermometer reads between 235 and 245 degrees F (112 to 118 degrees C), stirring often
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly, pour over snow in strips, use popsicle sticks to roll syrup quickly.
