Shakespeare in Coldbrook Park

The Bard will visit Knowlton this summer. Repercussion Theatre, the Montreal theatre group known for its outdoor Shakespeare productions, will present The Winter’s Tale, performed by the cast of UnCanon Theatre. The single performance takes place on Sunday, August 2, at 7 pm at Coldbrook Park, beside the dam.

About the Play

This is the story of the tyranny of the jealous King Leontes, who tears his family and kingdom apart. This tragedy can only be overcome 16 years later through the return of his lost daughter Perdita and the rebellion of her love.

Performance Details

This free production is due to the joint generosity of Knowlton Players, Theatre Lac Brome and Town of Brome Lake. Don’t forget to bring your chair. The two-hour performance (not including an intermission) is presented in English, with French subtitles available via a free web app. In case of rain, the play may instead be perfumed at Theatre Lac Brome.
