All members of council were present except Mayor Denis Vaillancourt who is on holiday. The meeting was chaired by Pro-Mayor Eddy Whitcher.
Town hall renovation
Planning for the design and renovation of the town hall has started with three contracts covering architectural planning as well as civil, electrical, mechanical and structural engineering.
Road work
Road maintenance continues with a culvert replacement on Bailey Rd. near the intersection with Mountain Rd. Detour via Town Hall and Argyll Rd. may be necessary.
A large culvert on Maple Terrace will be replaced in October. The road may be closed depending on work required. Residents will be informed if the road must be closed.
By-election
A by-election has been called for October 25 to elect a councillor to replace Nancy Lanteigne who resigned her seat earlier this year.
