For the uninitiated, a pantomime is British theatrical entertainment based on a nursery tale and featuring topical songs, tableaux and dances. Audience participation is encouraged, especially to alert cast members to danger and also to sing along to well-loved songs.
Hansel and Gretel with a twist
Knowlton Players is excited to present, at Theatre Lac-Brome, eight performances of Hansel and Gretel, with a twist, directed by Katherine Jacques.
Of particular note, there are three parents participating with their children, several teenagers from Massey Vanier and other cast members from as far away as Granby, Farnham and Bromont. There are approximately 30 cast members to take you on a thrilling journey through an enchanted forest and an encounter with Nightshade, the Wicked Witch of the Woods. This pantomime should delight audiences of all ages.
