The Knowlton Film Festival has announced the creation of a short film contest. It is open to all film genres and all ages, but one main artist (director, writer, cinematographer or actor) should be from the Eastern Townships.
Eligible films must be shot in part in the Town of Brome Lake and be set in the region. The Brome Lake Film Commission, www.filmlacbrome.ca is available to help with production details.
Finished films should be 15 minutes or less, and applications must be received by March 15, 2019. All completed films must be received by June 17, 2019. Members of the jury will be announced around that date.
The grand prize winner will receive $2,000 offered by TBL. Second prize receives $1,000. Third prize is $500. The three top films will be included in the festival’s 2019 official program. Other selected entries will be part of a special, two-hour collection of shorts to be screened Sunday, August 25, 2019 during the day.
