Inquiring minds may want to know what a film crew has been doing in various locations around Knowlton. And what’s with all the fake snow? It’s called Christmas Ever After, and it’s an American television production directed by Pat Kiely, starring Ali Stoker, Daniel Di Tomasso and Bill Merchant. The crack crew and support team is Canadian, as is so often the case for budgetary reasons, and it is being shot in the homes, stores and streets of Knowlton until September 3. The town’s iconic giant Christmas crackers have been drafted for seasonal authenticity. The crew hopes to minimize interference with the daily hurly burly of local life, but the municipal parking lot has been taken over, and there will be action shot at Star Café – renamed Sarah’s for the duration, and Brome Lake Books, among other locations. Understandably, a Christmas air date is expected.
