After a decade serving the community with locally-sourced meats, eggs, vegetables and home-baked goods, Knowlton’s From the Farm to the Table closed its doors at the end of April.

Saying “my bucket list is getting longer, my runway shorter”, store owner and Iron Hill powerhouse Susan Mason is hanging up one of many hats she wears as a local entrepreneur. “It was taking up too much of my time. As I get older, I have other things I want to explore.”

She made the decision with a heavy heart, she says, knowing many customers have counted on her produce and home-cooked meals. To that end, she is leaving the bones of her storefront beside Rona on the Knowlton Rd. intact, hoping someone else will takeover. “I will make the rent very attractive!”
