Knowlton Lions Club photos and puzzles

by Errol Fréchette, Knowlton Lions Club

The members of the Knowlton Lions Club are excited to announce our new community activity called “PHOTOS AND PUZZLES”.

Our goal is to try to relieve some of the “lockdown blues” that we have all been feeling lately in a safe and fun way. Taking a picture can be a whole new way of seeing your familiar surroundings.

Here is how it works:

We ask photographers to go out and take photos in these three categories:

1 – animals
2 – winter
3 – iconic scenes in TBL, Brome and West Bolton then e-mail them to: photo.lions.knowlton@gmail.com by March 31st

The favourite chosen by Lions members in each category will then be turned into puzzles
that we will be donated to the Manoir Lac Brome and Residence Excelsoins for our local seniors to enjoy. In appreciation of their contribution to our cause, the photographer of the 3 selected entries will receive a puzzle made from their photo.

Please note photos must be taken on the territory of TBL, Brome or West Bolton by residents of these towns to respect the Covid-19 safety guidelines. There is a limit of 1 entry per category per person.

It is important that photos do not show any visually identifiable people. To allow the confirmation of the details, each entry must be accompanied by the name and contact information of the photographer and a brief description of the photo including approximate location. In the case of any photographer aged 18 and under, the age of the participant and name of the parent or guardian must be included and only the parent or guardian will be contacted.

Anyone old enough to hold a cell phone or camera is encouraged to participate… so get up off your couch and start clicking!

Thank you for helping create a little joy and fun for our seniors in these trying times.
