On December 7 from 5 until midnight, downtown Knowlton will be a hive of activity and frivolity. This is the 13th year of the popular Midnight Madness, innovated by Lucy Hoblyn and with both new and old participants, you will not be disappointed.

Twenty-five shops and restaurants will be open as well as Theatre Lac-Brome, the Museum and the library. The Christmas market will be held in the blue building at 30 Lakeside and shoppers will be entertained by musicians: John Barr, Daniel Haché and the duo Squeegee. Out in the fresh air there will be light shows, horse and carriage rides, carol singers, a photo booth and music in the streets.

The ever-popular treasure/elf hunt has been expanded this year. During the evening, you will have a chance to win gift certificates, with every purchase you make, from participating merchants.

The elves will be hidden in participating stores as of November 15. Shoppers can hunt for the elves right up to December 15. If they find an elf, they can either fill in a coupon at the store or take a picture of themselves with the elf and post in on the Folie de Minuit Facebook page or #lacbromelf or #lutinlacbrome on Instagram.

Each entry will give them a chance to win a weekly prize. During Midnight Madness, the shoppers can search for the elves for a greater chance to win prizes. A complete list of participants is available at: https://tourismelacbrome.com/en/
