Peter E. Baker, an author and antique dealer with a Knowlton storefront on St. Paul’s Rd, will release a coffee-table tome in early June centred on how to meld antiques and folk art with a contemporary lifestyle. Objects from a single collection span three centuries of Canadian history. Available at Brome Lake Books. 

The Knowlton Lions Club and the BMP Hospital Foundation raised $14,500 at the 29th edition of the BMP Annual Sunday Brunch held April 30 at the Auberge West Brome.

Congratulations to Daniel Morris of TBL for bringing back the silver medal for single men’s category at the Blind Bowlers World Bowls Championships in Cape Town South Africa, as well as a bronze medal in the mixed pairs event, with Vivian Kwan from Edmonton.

Raised $22,580 at their “Rasons nos cocos pour l’Onco” challenge. Ten participants, including three children, shaved their heads along with the organizers: oncologists Dr. Étienne Blain- Paré, Dr. Laurence Grand, and Dr. Simon Robichaud. Also participating was President Mr. Mario Lagimonière, and Executive Director Ms. Lola Landes of the BMP Foundation, and Mario Dagenais, spouse of a patient treated at the hospital.
