Thanks to the support of the town, who funded the website, TBL now has a “Film Commission”. The purpose of the Commission is to make it easy for film and TV producers and directors to find locations in ther area, thus making it easier for film production in TBL. The full range of their services is offered on a website: filmlacbrome.ca . The Commission was founded by Judith Duncanson, Signy Stephenson, Michael Taylor and Karen Coshof.

“Our hope,” said Michael Taylor in an interview, “is that the Film Commission will not only bring in shoots, but also attract visitors and new residents when people see the beauty of our area on the screen.”

Many long-time residents may recall earlier successes in this field when TBL was host to Jody Foster, David Duchovny, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Garner, Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando.
