The CARKE Foundation is happy to confirm the town’s announcement at its Feb. 4th meeting, that a splash pad will be installed this spring at Lions Park, to be paid for by CARKE, with upkeep hand- led by the town.
As many of you know, CARKE had hoped to use money left over from a successful money-raising campaign, plus a legacy, to help build an indoor swimming pool.

This project unfortunately did not materialize, and CARKE, based on needs expressed by the Recreation Department, is happy to use some of these funds to bring another type of water activity to Lions Park, close to the community centre. This facility will be built by Tessier Récréo-Parc, who promise to have it completed by this coming June. Detailed plans have not been finalized, but it will include games for active young people, an area specifically for toddlers as well as a“wet” sitting area for adults.
