The good news is that Richard Pilon, former owner of Knowlton’s Star Café, is home after having major surgery. He had waited over four years for this procedure, and after two days in the hospital and at least five weeks of recovery, he should soon be back in good health. After sixteen years of running Star Café at its two different locations, Richard will be missed by his clients and all the people he has helped over the years. However, Richard assured Tempo that he has every intention of staying in Knowlton. We wish him a speedy recovery and our best wishes go to him and his family. The other good news is that Star Café is now in the capable hands of Patrick Plouffe and, while we are under the restrictions of the red zone, an interesting take-out menu is being offered. The Star lives on.
