A letter in the April issue of Tempo has caused some confusion about Terrasse CARKE, the parcel of lakefront land in Bondville, which was bought by the CARKE Foundation last year and given to the town, to create a municipal park.  The letter referred to the fact that the town paid $1 “to confirm the lease of the lake bed next to the shoreline of the CARKE Bondville land belonging to the town. The previous owner had the same lease.”  Regarding town plans for improving this land, there will be nothing done until the fall, as the town has other priorities and COVID-19 is restricting how much it can do.
