The mayor and all councillors were present, plus six residents.

Questions – The organic compostable material in the brown bins is still being contaminated with plastics and other non-compostable materials. Any contamination with: plastics, glass or metal means that the entire truckload is sent to landfill at extra cost to the municipality. Residents are asked to ensure that only organic compostable materials are put in the brown bins.

Mt Foster – The developers are still studying the situation and preparing their final proposal.

Town planning – The municipality will assume ownership of a short section of the old Cousens Road.

Administration – Approval of accounts, expenditures and expenses as well as training on the property tax software. Seven properties will be sold for non-payment of taxes if the accounts are not paid on time. The council approved the transfer of the MRC from the Monteregie Regional authority to the Estrie Region. The regional authority co-ordinates matters dealing with health, roads, agriculture, forestry, etc.

Tree and shrub seedlings for planting in riparian zones will be available for pick-up on Saturday, May 25. The municipality has received a grant to provide services to residents who are dependent and with limited mobility. On the first Wednesday of the month there will be bus transport to town for visits to the pharmacy, grocery store and lunch. Call town hall for detailed information. Meet your Neighbours day will be held on Saturday, August 17 at the Church of St Michael and All Angels in the Glen. Call town hall to join the volunteers who will help organize this event.

There will be a classical music concert at the Creek Church on Saturday, March 30 at 2 p.m. The program will include music by Bach played on historic classical instruments. Tickets: $30.
