Édouard Grondin

Édouard Grondin died tragically at the age of 18 on September 9 in a traffic accident near exit 74 on Highway 10. He was on his way to work at the Knowlton Golf Club, where he was an assistant in the Pro Shop.

In addition to working at the club he was a Junior Intermediate Member and promising golfer.

“Eddy, who was just18, joined the club as a junior member in 2007at the age of 8and was a star from day one, showing the same talent and passion for the game as his older brother Vic,” said Dan Bogan, the professional at the Knowlton Golf Club. “Eddy continued to be a standout. He was winning junior tournaments locally, provincially and making noise on the national scene as well. He joined his brother Vic on the André-Laurendeau College Golf Team in 2016, after graduating from high school.”

Edouard lived with his parents in Montreal, as well as at the family home in Iron Hill. The family had recently moved from Bondville.

There was a memorial service at the 18th hole of the Golf club on September 16. Four hundred people attended.

He is survived by his parents, Stéphane Grondin and Valérie Couture-Grondin and his brothers, Samuel and Victor.
