The Knowlton Literary Festival will present Repercussion Theatre’s production of Much Ado About Nothing at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday July 15. There is a new venue this year. The show will be performed on the green in front of Knowlton Academy.
“Access to Douglass Beach by truck was very limited,” said Philip Lanthier, Co-Chairman. “Last year, we had to rely on the rowers from Aviron Knowlton to help carry tons of equipment to the site.”
“Parking at Knowlton Academy is much easier too,” added Frank Johnston-Main, Co-Chairman. “The weather is a major factor. We have had some close calls in the last two years. If we have a lot of rain this year, all we have to do is to move into the gym. No change of location and no last minute scramble.”
“Much Ado About Nothing is a wonderful play about deceit and mis- understandings. What is the truth and who is truthful is at the heart of the play,” said Judith Duncanson, Director, “This is surely a message for our own times? Admission, as always, is free. Bring your deck chairs and a picnic.”
This is the fifth year that the Knowlton Literary Festival has brought Repercussion Theatre’s outdoor production to the Town of Lac Brome. The Knowlton Literary Festival is the local producer. Funding is provided by the Town of Brome Lake.
