Hearing from the doctor you have cancer is one of life’s toughest moments. Hearing it when you are 37 years old is even tougher, and a further blow is to discover that your father has the same type of cancer.
That is the situation with Jaime Moar who has Follicular Lymphoma, and whose father Gerry Moar is dealing with the same thing.
“I’m not just going to sit around and let this rule my life,” says Jaime, who has organized a local fundraising campaign for the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
“My soft goal is $25,000. My stretchy goal is $50,000.”
There have already been two fundraising events in March and there are two more in April.
On April 7 at 8 p.m. there is a night of entertainment with Shane Murphy at The Boot. Tickets at:

Jaime Moar is a candidate for Visionary of the Year for the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
