And the winner is: Susan Keays and her decorated mannequin called “Let’s go for a Sunday Drive with Missi”. First prize was $1,000 from the Town of Brome Lake. It was a reward for hard work. 

“It took me 100 hours to do it,” said Susan, a retired Special Educator who lives in East Dunham. “People think it was painted but it is all tiny pieces of fabric, then covered in varathane.” 

The ‘Missi’ in the title is short for Mississquoi. 

The mannequins were a feature of Knowlton street life over the summer, shocking many residents and visitors who first saw them. 

Susan operates a fabric store in Sutton called Susan Keays Kreation. 

Second place of $500 went to Laurence Pineault for “Dame Nature”. The People’s Choice was “Flora the Garden Fairy” from Knowlton Academy.
