Quilliams Nature Experience like never before

Conservation Lac Brome

Conservation Lac Brome (CLB) invites kayak, canoe, and paddle board enthusiasts to enjoy an immersive experience in the heart of the Quilliams-Durrull Nature Reserve through its new audio-guided tour, available for free on the Ondago app.

Quilliams Nature Experience

Titled Quilliams Nature Experience, the tour features informative audio capsules about the wildlife, plant life, and ecological functions of the Quilliams stream. These are narrated by CLB’s ambassadors:

  • Internationally acclaimed author Louise Penny
  • Renowned actor and writer Raymond Cloutier

The official launch, held at Hôtel Lac-Brome, gathered around forty curious attendees, members, and partners. Many couldn’t resist trying the tour right away, praising it as “simply exceptional.” Some even spotted a beaver diving just ahead of their boat!

Fun and educational

Léa Couture, project manager and lead writer of the capsules, emphasized the importance of a tool that is both fun and educational, especially in the context of climate change affecting the lake and its tributaries.

This new project replaces an older version of the tour, which previously consisted of informational signs placed along the shoreline, said Christian Roy, president of CLB.

Access & Rentals

Thanks to the support of local partners, the initiative promises to delight both young and old.
Kayaks are available for rent at Hôtel Lac-Brome, with a discount for Conservation Lac Brome members.
