Once again this year the Polar Beach Party at Douglass Beach was a great success judging by the number of young and old and even several dogs that were in attendance.
Nearly 1,200 people profited from the pleasures of winter especially the new Kick Sleds bought by the town. Always popular with families, the horse drawn carriage pulled by the Lavigne’s magnificent Clydesdale, (as featured on the front page) transported visitors from the village centre to the beach.
Congratulations to André Boudreau and his team from Lac-Brome Recreation and Community Services as well as to all the people who contributed to making this an annual event for all residents.
