Dunham House to Host Session on Mental Health
By Robert Paterson
In partnership with Mental Health Estrie, Dunham House will host a free information session on mental health on Thursday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Amédée-Beaudoin Community Centre in Sherbrooke.
“English mental health services are lacking across the province,” said Anthony Berger, clinical supervisor at Dunham House.
“Not many people know where to turn in times of need outside of a hospital setting, which is why Dunham House, together with Mental Health Estrie, felt it was essential to build awareness around mental health services for the English-speaking community.”
What to Expect
🕘 Morning Session
Psychologist Marianne Saint-Jacques will lead a discussion on how addiction impacts mental health.
🕐 Afternoon Session
Various community organizations will be present to share information about their services.
Dr. Adrianna Mendrek of Bishop’s University will lead a hands-on activity to promote mental wellness.
🥗 Lunch will be provided.
“Whether you are looking for information on services or support, this is an event you do not want to miss,” said Berger.
