Bill Miller has been mayor of Brome since 2019, and he is standing for re-election. He is hoping that most of the councillors will remain on board so that they can complete the business at hand. As a team, they have a good working relationship. Brome has around 300 citizens, most of whom are full-time residents.

The main focus for the Town of Brome in 2026–27 will be the building of a town hall which has been in the works for a few years. The land on the corner of Stagecoach and Valley Roads has been purchased, architectural plans drawn up and the necessary environmental tests done. A grant from the provincial government has been confirmed and money allocated to enable the town hall to become a reality. Brome has never owned its own town building, and this will enable it to be independent, hold its meetings and have all its records under one roof.

L’objectif principal de la Ville de Brome pour 2026–2027 sera la construction d’un hôtel de ville, projet en cours depuis quelques années. Le terrain, situé à l’angle des chemins Stagecoach et Valley, a été acheté, les plans architecturaux approuvés et les tests environnementaux nécessaires effectués. Une subvention du gouvernement provincial a été confirmée et des fonds ont été alloués pour la construction. Brome n’a jamais eu son propre édifice municipal, et pourra y tenir ses réunions et sauvegarder tous ses documents sous un même toit.
